Web Sites for Musicians

If you have recorded demos of your voice, music, songs etc. or you have finished product (IE a CD for sale), a great way to get exposure is to upload these songs to OMD's (Online Music Distributors). This is an excellent way for any new artist to gain exposure to industry, potential fans and other musicians. You can meet others to collaborate and do many other things when you upload your music and begin to promote yourself online.

Don't forget to set up your own web site so that you have your own personal "home on the net" (ie your "bandname.com" or "yourartistname.com"). This way fans can have one central place to keep track of your releases, shows, and other important info. If you want excellent web hosting for a very reasonable price, check out Total Choice Hosting or HostingZoom. I highly reccomend a company called MBSTIA Design for all your web site and graphic design needs. They can hook you up with a Content Management System based site which allows you to update your own web site content and save on monthly update costs. Check them out: MBSTIA

Good luck out there and don't forget that you get out of your career what YOU PUT IN!

Click URLs below to visit the sites. Make sure you read through and completely understand the user agreement you sign when you join. Some of these sites charge to host your music and some do not. Due to the nature of OMD's coming and going, some companies may not be in business. Please let me know if you find a dead link. Thanks :) Dead OMD Link Report
You will also want to check out the armydiller site for a rundown and explanation of the most popular OMD sites on the web.
