These books focus primarily on the music business as a whole. These ones are more geard towards major labels and the larger industry. Even if you are pursuing an Indie career, these books will give you a good base of knowledge with regard to the business in a general sense. It's also always very helpful to know what the corporations are all about so you know how to negotiate with them if you ever decide to go that route with your music.

Please note: some of these books are more applicable to the major label music business (old school model). It's good to know this info as we move into a new business model in the music business. You will often come apon old school model folks as you make your way with your music. It's good to know where they are coming from as you negotiate with them.
